Support services

Just because you live in rural WA doesn’t mean you can’t access Breast Cancer Care WA’s services.

We are committed to raising awareness of statewide services, ensuring that all communities across WA know they can access the expert support they need, no matter their location.

Whether in metro areas or the most remote regions of WA, BCCWA strives to ensure equitable access to its services, ensuring that no one is left behind in their breast cancer experience.

Our specialist breast cancer nurses and counsellors are available either by phone or online. We also have online-only support groups, workshops and webinars available.

BCCWA is dedicated to ensuring that every person affected by breast cancer in Western Australia (along with their families) has access to specialist support services, no matter where they live in the state

  • Specialist Breast Care Nurses

    Our specialist breast care nurses are there for every step of the journey. They help you understand your diagnosis and treatment plans, navigate health services, communicate, and liaise with multidisciplinary care teams, and support you to make informed decisions about your health and wellbeing. Our nurses can provide support to our regional clients via phone, email or video chat.

  • Counsellors

    Our counsellors provide one-one counselling sessions regional clients via phone, email or video chat. They also facilitate monthly support groups therapy workshops online for our regional clients.

  • Support Groups

    Being part of a support group gives our clients an opportunity to share their feelings, while receiving support and friendship from those who have been through or are going through similar experiences, and relax in a confidential, caring, non-judgemental, and non-clinical environment.

It was this decision, that upon reflection, I wish I had made earlier but I have since learned that you can’t change the past, you just have to try your best and move forwards.
